Some fun facts for you:
Our top three starters (C.C., Fausto, and Byrd):
last a combined average of 6 and 2/3 innings per start
and
have a combined average ERA of 3.5.
Now look at our #4 and #5 pitchers:
last a combined average of 5 and 2/3 innings (that's including Lee's complete game)
and
have a combined average ERA of 6.5.
The Indians average 5.7 runs per game of offense.
Think about that. Our top three guys last a full inning longer and give up THREE RUNS less than our four and five guys.
That's insane.
Also, imagine only needing the bullpen for 2 and 1/3 innings every night -- that's only 7 outs! We'd avoid over working Borowski because we'd have guys rested every night.
It's really kind of scary how drastic the difference is between the front and back ends of our rotation.

It really is amazing. Every time Lee or Sowers pitches, I am always preparing myself for a bad game. I wish Sowers could step it up and be the same person we knew last season! Same with Cliff!
But, Fausto Carmona, he really is something out there, isn't he?

Hey, Ally, welcome to RCR!
I recently read that Lee actually has options left for Buffalo, so both of them can be sent down if need be. Let's just hope Jake steps it up when he comes back -- more Jake of last year and less Jake from this year.
